Meet Dr.Michelle
The story of Dr. Michelle starts with being both a veterinarian and a pet owner. Having been on both sides of the euthanasia process, she knows how difficult it is to make that decision and to lose your best friend. Many years ago, she lost her beloved rescue greyhound to a very painful illness and made the difficult decision to euthanize unexpectedly at the specialist’s office. Even as a veterinarian she wished she had been provided with more guidance and the reassurance that she made the right decision.
“Although I see many tears, they are tears of love and it shows how important our pets are to us. That human-animal bond is so very special. It is such an honour to help maintain that bond until the very last moments and to me that is why I continue to do what I do.”
